School Has 240 Students
ORFORDVILLE, Wis. -- What are the odds of having twins?
Better yet, what are the odds of having nine sets of twins at an elementary school with just 240 students?
The sixth grade at Orfordville Elementary School in Rock County has five pairs of twins. The fourth and fifth grades have two sets each.
Science teacher Dennis Socwell is a twin himself. Socwell said in some cases, it's tough to tells the twins apart. One example is Haley and Marina Gookin. He said they're identical twins with very similar personalities.
Two other Orfordville staff members, physical education teacher Jim Viaenne and food service worker Marilyn Klassy, also have a twin.
The school has even set aside a special day. The students dress like one another on Twin Day.

I remember there was a set of boy twins in our preschool class. I remember (or Mom repeating the story) that we couldn't tell the boys apart & Mom explained that's how it was for other people that that they couldn't tell us apart. We didn't understand why people couldn't tell us apart. Funny! I suppose it's not likely that all 9 sets will graduate in the same school district but wouldn't that be a fun class?

Black and white twins Hayleigh and Lauren Durrant proudly hold their new sisters Leah and Miya — who incredibly are also twins with different colored skin.
Their mixed-race parents Dean Durrant and Alison Spooner repeated the miracle after a seven-year gap.
When the first set of twins arrived in 2001, the couple was astonished to see that Lauren took after her white mom, with blue eyes and red hair, while Hayleigh had black skin and hair like dad Dean.
Then this year Alison, 27, found she was expecting again — and lightning struck twice.
She had twin girls again. And little Miya was born with dark skin like her dad and Leah is white like former recruitment consultant Alison.
“The girls just love Miya and Leah to bits. We didn’t think it was even possible when we had Lauren and Hayleigh — and it didn’t cross our minds that it could happen again. But we are just delighted that it has,” Dean, 33, of Fleet, Hants, said.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia —
Identical twin brothers escaped the death penalty in a Malaysian drug trafficking trial after the court ruled authorities could not prove which man committed the alleged crime, news reports said Saturday.
"I ... can't be sending the wrong person to the gallows," the New Straits Times newspaper quoted the judge in the case as saying.
Police arrested the 27-year-old brothers in August 2003 after they found large amounts of opium and marijuana in a house to which one of the twins had the key, the New Straits Times and national news agency Bernama reported.
Both men were charged, but Kuala Lumpur High Court Judge Zaharah Ibrahim ruled Friday that only the twin with the key could be proven to be the owner of the drugs.
Because the brothers' identical features made it impossible for officers testifying to point out which one had been found with the key, she had no choice but to acquit both men.
She called the ruling "a very unique case." Court officials familiar with the case could not immediately be reached.
The twins wept and hugged each other after the judge read her verdict, the reports added.
Malaysia has a mandatory penalty of death by hanging for drug trafficking. More than 200 people have been executed since capital punishment was implemented for the offense in 1975.
